Motivation for quick weight loss

ID-100213980There are people who never seem to gain weight no matter what they eat. It could be genetics or something else. Don’t we just envy them?

For most people losing weight is not easy. And maintaining our desired weight is even more difficult at times.  

Although being healthy must be a lifelong goal, not an instant dream, there are times when we want to lose the weight quick. And there’s nothing wrong with that as long as we implement the right activities and diet to achieve it.

Here are some motivations for quick weight loss:

1.       Be realistic about your goals for quick weight loss 
Your long term weight loss success lies in setting a realistic goal at the start. Although, you want a quick weight loss, you'll be more likely to stick with a program if you don’t beat yourself up and concentrate on your health to create sensible eating strategies. Setting realistic goals will also motivate you to be confident to continue.

2.       Take small steps 
Weight loss success means making real lifestyle changes which may not be quick. But you can start off with the motivation of achieving a quick weight loss. But be sure to take small steps. Just like setting realistic goals which was already mentioned, the pacing of smaller steps will set you up for a longer journey towards a healthier you.  

3.       Don’t fool yourself that everything will be the way you want it to
Expect setbacks. In fact there’ll be more of these challenges the more you lose weight. Believe me, there will be times when you can’t say “no” to temptation and your weight loss will plateau. Just don’t forget to get back on track. It’s alright to fall from time to time. Just pick yourself up and keep on moving forward.

4.       Reward Yourself 
A quick weight loss program can entail real hard work. Don’t take the fun out of it.  Be quick to give yourself a reward as well every time you succeeded at a small feat. These rewards can inspire you to keep going.  Your rewards can be a massage, shopping for a new pair of jeans, or a hot bubble bath. Do something and be kind to yourself.
